Improving access to high-quality services that support the health and well-being of Boone County youth (ages 0-19) and their families.
FACE Community Team’s mission is to connect youth and families to high quality community resources that help meet their specific needs such as…
Through our services, we strive to support the reduction of juvenile arrest rates and crime, juvenile recidivism, and disproportionate minority contact with juvenile courts.
A core value at FACE is to embody compassion and kindness in all that we do. In every single interaction with families, we provide warm, genuine support and help them connect to the resources they need. The past few years have raised many challenges and each family has a personal, unique story to share.
We are all in this together. We care about what families are going through.
At FACE, we want families to know there is hope as they access helpful resources. We also support families in addressing barriers preventing them from accessing needed resources. We are honored to walk alongside families through their journey and love to celebrate with them as their needs are met!
Our History
FACE exists due to the passionate hearts of Boone County citizens and their dedication to ensuring our children’s social and emotional needs are being met.
2012
The citizens of Boone County voted and passed Proposition 1, an initiative advocated by Putting Kids First that created the Children’s Services Fund. The Boone County Community Services Department oversees and coordinates this fund that supports FACE’s good work as well as other community programs that support the mental health needs and well-being of our children.
FACE officially opened its doors and began providing services.
2016
2020
FACE of Boone County and the Boone County Schools Mental Health Coalition merged under one umbrella to support Boone County youth and their families! This merger strengthened our ability to provide wraparound support to families.
